Now we know why a lot of the GOP backed away from this plan.
Even the "inventor" of this proposal now says it won't work.

Ryan was, and still is the biggest ass in the GOP (although Cantor runs a close second)

OK let me get this straight.

THE RIGHT bases their anti gay arguments on a guy who's research he has himself recanted.

THE RIGHT bases their anti climate stance on a scientific report that the scientist retracts as being faulty

THE RIGHT bases its anti Medicare stance on a this so called designer of the plan who now recants and says Ryans plan won't work.

Are there any other arguments that the right believes in where the originators have retracted their stories/theories/research?

Best Regards

And the thing is, most of the parrots on the right are still repeating - and will continue to repeat - those same old discredited talking points regardless. The point is to keep repeating the lie often enough that most people believe it true. Like I keep saying - it's the ONLY thing hey are good at.

Conservatives usually always wins the PR wars because they have the advertising money behind them - whether actual ads or the "think tanks" like the Heritage Foundation and the Heartland Institute (or institutions like ALEC and Chamber of Commerce) that are more than happy to pool the resources of the deceitful corporate interests and act as their waterboys while promoting the GOP agenda.

Did you see this one? New Billboard Ad Campaign Compares Americans That Believe In Global Warming To Osama Bin Laden and a host of other notorious characters.

In reading the latest followup this morning, I see that Heartland pulled the billboard - they claimed they were just "testing" the strategy of that ad campaign. Personally, I wish it would have taken them weeks or months - so all of America had a chance to see their "true colors".

Ryan and his fellow health insurance lobby lackeys in the Republican Party once again have taken a "General MacArthur" approach to destroying our nation's Medicare system. His plan will not make it immediately die -- he simply wants it to slowly fade away.
… and with it the ability of future senior citizens to obtain affordable chronic condition treatment and preventative health care.

Bottom line -- most Congressional Republicans do not have the best interests of the vast majority of Americans at heart ... and every day, more and more Americans are coming to this realization.
