Unbelievable. This is typical of the hypocrisy over at "Newsbusters". But 2 winters ago when much of the nation was being pelted with snowstorm after snowstorm and New York and Washington was under 20+ inches of snow, Newsbusters - and Fox News made a heyday out of using it to diss Global Warming.

It's just what they do.

So now they are reporting this as an example of "liberal media bias"? It's something that's on the minds of everyone (especially the average Joe who equates weather with climate).

This website, and the wingnut waterboys who write for it, have no shame, I swear.

What people forget (on both sides)is the time frame involved. We are not talking a year a decade we're talking climate change over centuries.
One snowy winter doesn't make climate change false nor does two warm winters make it true.
Empirical data suggests climate is changing but it will be warm and cold from time to time but the long term trend is for warming.

News busters is no different than those supporting man made climate change.....

My point isn't anything about that (non-)argument. My point is that these people are such hypocrites - as they MORE THAN ANYONE use an unseasonably cold weather pattern in any region of the world to diss the scientists and disavow the fact that the long-term trends show that the planet has been warming since the industrial revolution - and at an alarming rate over the past 3-4 decades.

Look, climate change happens and is happening now. I happen to believe we're making it worse ie - we are accelerating the change in both rate of change and possibly size of change. I won't be around to see the manifestation of all of this though because climate changes IN HUMAN TERMS slowly.
So I'll enjoy this years warm winter and next years cold one knowing that overall the trend is for warmer winters.
